The 1784 Pub, an 18th century style pub in the oldest section of Michie Tavern, serves Virginia wines, beers and hard ciders. In addition, light fare such as country ham biscuits, barbecue sliders, fried tenders and other southern delicacies are available in late afternoons.
Experience the sights and sounds of what it may have been like as a traveler in the 18th century looking for a bit of refreshment and nourishment. Perhaps you will strike up a conversation with a fellow visitor or partake in a colonial game.

The Tap Bar Room
The Tap Bar Room serves local beer, wine and hard cider. It features a majestic oak caged bar fashioned after Michie Tavern’s original Tap Bar housed in the Public Room.
Public Room
The Public Room is furnished with period antiques and provides a relaxed setting to drink and enjoy 18th century games
Virginia Wine
We proudly offer many of Barboursville Vineyard wines: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Grigio and Allegrante Rosé. These wines are served by the glass or bottle. Michie Tavern’s Finest Red, made exclusively for us, is available by the bottle.
Pub Light Fare
Traditional light Pub fare is served in the late afternoon. Fried Chicken Tenders, Hand-pulled Pork Barbecue Sliders, Fried Pub Legs, Country Ham Biscuits, Fried Wings and more.

The all-Virginia beer and hard cider selection in the 1784 Pub has something for everyone! Enjoy a cold one in our signature pewter tankard!
